Pol’and’Rock Festival 2025 – Thousands of people, music, freedom… and our YES Mums!

Nine women and one man pose in front of the main festival area. A large crowd and a stage are visible in the background. Some people wear T-shirts with the “Pol’and’Rock” logo.

Pol’and’Rock Festival 2025 – Thousands of people, music, freedom… and our YES Mums! They’re usually the ones standing to the side. The caregivers. The medication managers. The organisers of rehab sessions. The ones who carry – literally and emotionally – the everyday life of their adult children with disabilities.

They don’t complain. They don’t ask for much. Sometimes they just quietly dream. But this time, everything was different.

This time, the spotlight was on the Moms – their needs, their joy, their moment. No timetables. No constant readiness.

They let themselves go with the music and the festival vibe. They dared to ride the Ferris wheel – despite the fear. They met people who saw them not as caretakers, but as vibrant, living women.

This special day was part of our long-standing programme, “A breath for Mums”, which we continue to run with heart and commitment.

And what a day it was. The Mums say it best:

Jola said:

“I still see it in my mind – the Ferris wheel, the stage pulsing with music, the sea of tents. Looking from above, I felt like time had stopped. Down below, there were people like from another world – wings, glitter, masks. But we were all dancing to the same rhythm: freedom, ease, being together. This day will stay in my heart for a long time.”

Basia said:

“If it weren’t for you, I’d never have gone there – and it was something I always dreamed of. Thanks to you, I felt the rhythm of rock, the ease, the warmth, the carefree joy. I’d never get on a Ferris wheel alone, but with you – I did it. That view, that moment – it’ll stay with me for the rest of my life.”

Irmina said:

“I’ll tell everyone about this place. I felt free and full of joy – surrounded by colourful, open people living in the here and now. The moment I crossed the gate, I could feel the energy. I still feel it today.”

See the photos below – filled with joy, emotion… and that precious breath.
