“Let’s say YES to disability” – three powerful webinars for inclusive employers

We invited employers, particularly those from HR, DEI, CSR, and ESG departments, to participate in three inclusive and diverse "YES Webinars". During these sessions, we shared best practices for integrating people with disabilities and inspired attendees to build diverse teams.

These webinars were organized under the patronage of the United States Embassy as part of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network, which we represent in Poland.

Hosted by Agata Robińska, president of the TAKpełnosprawni Foundation, the webinars featured experts who are also individuals with disabilities, sharing their professional experiences.

Each webinar explored a different but complementary topic:

"Equal doesn’t mean the same" (September 5)

We discussed the concept of reasonable accommodations in the workplace for people with disabilities. Topics included the benefits of implementing such accommodations, their crucial role in leveling the playing field, best practices for implementation, and personal insights from individuals with disabilities. Key findings from our latest report on reasonable accommodations were also presented.

“Making digital accessibility accessible” (September 6)

This session focused on what constitutes a digitally accessible company, how to initiate the process of building digital accessibility, examples from other organizations, and tools that can support the recruitment and employment of people with disabilities. Our guest was Mariusz Sprus, Accessibility Champion at ATOS, an enthusiast of inclusive technologies, and a person with a disability.

"Engaging Inclusive education" (September 9)

We explored effective methods for educating about the inclusion of people with disabilities, strategies to engage employees in building diverse teams, and ways to inspire equal opportunities. The discussion featured two Agathas: Agata Robińska (president of the TAKpełnosprawni Foundation) and Agata Spała-Zakrzewska (president of HR Fair Play), creators of the educational project "Break the Stereotypes – with the Agathas." During the session, participants were invited to an engaging game introducing the idea of inclusion.

"I deeply believe that these meetings have been a source of inspiration for action not only this autumn but also in the coming year." - Agata Robińska, president of TAKpełnosprawni

We look forward to seeing you at our future webinars!
